About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Data to take on a strategic leadership role within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and leading the entire data function, including data engineering, analytics, and data science. This role is pivotal in a virtual care setting, where data is a key driver of member outcomes, clinical decision-making, and operational efficiency. The VP of Data will not only set the vision and strategy for the data organization but also be deeply involved in the day-to-day, highly collaborative, and fast-moving environment. They will work closely with the executive team, product and engineering leadership, clinical teams, and various other departments to ensure that data is at the core of the company's decision-making processes. Candidates for this role should have a proven track record of leading data organizations at scale, with a focus on strategic thinking, team building, and the ability to operate with a high level of autonomy. The role requires a leader who can balance the demands of a fast-paced, ambiguous, and complex environment, particularly in the context of healthcare. Experience in a regulated industry, especially healthcare, is a strong plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at making data-driven decisions, have a deep understanding of modern AI-assisted tooling, and be able to navigate the challenges of PHI, HIPAA, and the privacy and security implications of working with sensitive health data.
