Survey Technician

We are seeking an experienced Survey Technician! A Survey Technician plays a crucial part in measuring land features and boundaries to collect accurate data for engineering and construction projects. They support surveyors by preparing maps, maintaining instruments, and ensuring precise documentation of field measurements. Responsibilities: Oversee and mentor CAD Drafters – review plans prepared by CAD Drafters for accuracy, completeness and conformance to company and client standards. Assist and work directly with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers. Ability to create mapping from field crew data collector files (points), field sketches, digital photographs and reference maps. Deed and reference map plotting. Preparation and set-up of survey data for field crews. Post survey field data analysis and/or conversions as necessary. Construction layout calculations, as-built surveys and/or sketches. Grade sheet preparation. ALTA/NSPS land title survey preparation. Topographic analysis. Preparation of Metes & Bounds descriptions. Preparation of FEMA Elevation certificate. Preparation of Subdivision Plans and Lot Consolidation Plans. Accountable for plan presentation. Survey traverse adjustments. Qualifications: 3+ years surveying experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong math skills. Proven record of producing clean and accurate plan presentations. Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering and construction industry. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to learn new software and technologies in a timely manner. Proficient with MS Word and Excel. Ability to meet project deadlines within budget. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team member. Desire to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
