Lead Software Engineer .Net

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We expect formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need proven experience leading projects end to end, including scope definition, cross-functional coordination, timeline and dependency management, and delivery through production release.
• We look for hands-on experience with a modern object-oriented language such as .NET/C#, including designing scalable, maintainable, high-performance applications.
• We require experience writing, tuning, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and performance optimization.
• We expect practical experience across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need advanced capability in one or more programming languages.
• We value experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted development tools, with clear standards for validating outputs for accuracy, performance, and security.
• We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We look for proficiency across all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• We need advanced knowledge of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We require in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end libraries and frameworks such as JavaScript and React.
• Preferred: exposure to cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• We develop creative software solutions, perform design and development work, and troubleshoot technical issues using AI agents and AI-assisted tools to address complex problems more efficiently.
• We plan, build, and review secure, high-quality production code, including debugging code written by others.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We identify and automate recurring remediation work to improve the stability of our software applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural approaches, technical credibility, and fit within our existing systems and information architecture.
