Position: Warehouse manager Location: Birmingham, AL Job Id: 953 # of Openings: 1 Warehouse Manager Overview SUMMARY: The Warehouse Manager reports to the Director, Corporate Warehousing and is responsible for managing the daily operations of assigned warehouse(s). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff. Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety / Housekeeping / Sanitation Ensure appropriate training, licensing, maintenance, and accountability systems are in place to achieve and maintain a safe work environment. Always be mindful of and adhere to GMP’s, Quality and Food Safety requirements. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Maintain the facility at expected levels at all times. Product Receiving: Ensure proper receipt and inspection of all products to ensure accuracy, freshness, and computer system accuracy. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels and product rotation to ensure on-hand quantities are kept at appropriate levels to maintain a 99.5% Order Fulfillment rate without creating space or freshness issues. Order Fulfillment: Execute order selecting processes to ensure all orders ready for shipment / pick up on time with a minimum of 99.5% of all requested cases fulfilled, and minimal selecting errors to achieve 5% Order Accuracy. Shipment Integrity: Ensure all shipments are properly prepared to prevent damage / loss. Transactional Execution: Execute all transactions in the SAP computer system to ensure timely and accurate information updates. Product Planning / Ordering: Assist Centralized Purchasing Agent by providing local insight for planning and placing orders from multiple suppliers to maintain inventory of both manufactured and purchased products and ensure all demand is met. Equipment Management: Maintain corporate inventories of frequently used brewing equipment as directed by the Equipment Department. This includes receiving, inventorying, selecting, shipping, and processing SAP transactions similar to product inventories. Hire, develop, and manage a team of technicians to consistently achieve performance objectives and provide for cross training / backfill training to ensure self-sufficiency. Participate with the Sales team in planning and executing the operational aspects of upcoming business activities / changes. Provide “floor leadership” to the team to meet daily objectives. Participate in “hands‑on” work as needed. Facility Management / Efficiency & Fiscal Management Own all aspects of facility management to ensure assets are properly maintained and in compliance at all times. This may include building maintenance, janitorial, regulatory compliance, licensing compliance, landscape maintenance, etc. Actively manage warehouse activities and spending to deliver against cost objectives. All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma (or an equivalent such as a GED). 10 years of related industrial experience. Demonstrable experience of being results focused, self‑motivated, and highly organized. Demonstrable experience of stellar people management, team building/training and leadership. Demonstrable experience with analytical problem solving; examination/formulation of policy/procedure and strategy implementation. Intermediate or higher user experience with all Microsoft Office Software, specifically with Word and Excel. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous warehouse management experience. Experience with managing a WMS system. Prior experience with SAP. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to safely climb, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical movements necessary for machinery maintenance, installation, and service. Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to carry up to 30 lbs. of product or equipment. Ability to work on uneven surfaces and maintain balance in a variety of environments. Ability to reach heights up to 74" to service equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hearing and eye protection and non‑slip shoes, is required in certain situations. Occasional exposure to slick floors and loud work environments. Ability to successfully complete the pre‑employment process.
