Senior Statistical Analyst

Seeking an experienced Statistical Modeling expertise to analyze transaction and TCP L4 telemetry data, identify anomalous traffic and behavioral patterns, and develop statistical and ML-based detection models. Statistical Modeling & Z-Score Analysis Historical Data Analysis & Anomaly Detection Time-Series Forecasting & Predictive Analytics TCP/IP or TCP L4 telemetry experience. Key Responsibilities Apply statistical modeling and data science techniques to transaction and TCP L4 telemetry. Develop anomaly detection and behavioral baseline models using: Time-series analysis Correlation Statistical thresholds Engineer features from transaction, connection, velocity, retry, batch, and historical alert data. Develop scoring and classification models to identify legitimate, duplicate, retry, anomalous, and potential DDoS activity. Analyze historical incidents and alerts to optimize detection thresholds and reduce false positives. Integrate statistical detection signals into Agentic AI investigation workflows for automated correlation, investigation, and evidence generation. Validate models using historical and simulated traffic scenarios. Measure model performance using precision, recall, false-positive/false-negative rates, and detection latency. Monitor model performance, behavioral drift, and changes in traffic patterns. Continuously tune and improve detection algorithms. Partner with engineering and operations teams to productionize ML models. Provide explainable, statistically grounded recommendations to human investigators. Required Skills 11+ years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning. Strong background in statistical modeling and statistical analysis. Hands-on experience with anomaly detection / outlier detection. Experience with time-series analysis. Experience with clustering and classification models. Experience evaluating ML models using precision, recall, false positives/negatives, etc. Experience working with large-scale transaction, telemetry, or behavioral data. Preferred Skills Network traffic / cybersecurity analytics experience. TCP/IP or TCP L4 telemetry experience. DDoS detection or network anomaly detection. Behavioral baselining. Incident and alert analysis. ML model monitoring and model drift. Experience with Generative AI / Agentic AI workflows.
