Welder / Metal Fabricator Level 1

Milwaukee, WI

1st Shift | Monday through Friday | 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Paid overtime as needed

What you’ll be doing

• Fabricate and weld structural metal components using MIG welding
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and shop sketches
• Run your own fabrication projects from layout through final weld
• Operate press brakes, rolls, saws, and other fabrication equipment
• Grind, clean, and finish parts to spec
• Troubleshoot fit-up or assembly issues as they come up
• Follow safety standards and keep a clean, organized work area

What we’re looking for

Required:

• 3 or more years of MIG welding and metal fabrication experience
• Comfortable reading blueprints and multiple drawing formats, including CAD
• Experience with shop tools and equipment such as forklifts, press brakes, and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, including overhead lifting
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a weld and fit-up test

Preferred but not required:

• Welding certification

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and weld for a full shift
• Good vision, including depth perception and close focus
• Ability to safely lift heavy materials above shoulder height
