Responsibilities Develop and curate the company’s wireless communication patent portfolio. Build and prosecute the worldwide patent portfolio and strategy in collaboration with the business. Identify patentable inventions. Secure high-quality, strategic patent assets. Provide expert technical and legal analysis. Handle patent challenges. Provide guidance in support of patent transactions and licensing matters. Assign and manage work performed by outside law firms. Work with engineering and other business organizations to understand priorities and challenges. Provide cross-functional support for acquisition due diligence, IP licensing, enforcement, standards, and litigation activities. Qualifications USPTO Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent. BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. 5+ years of relevant experience at a top law firm and/or in-house legal department. 5+ years drafting and prosecuting patent assets related to cellular communication, including 3GPP protocols, wireless implementations, and baseband circuitry.
