Job Description

An established manufacturing company in Archdale, NC is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its growing production team. In this hands-on role, you will set up, program, edit, and operate CNC equipment to produce precision parts according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements. You will also inspect completed parts, support fabrication and material handling, and help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist looking for a four-day workweek and the chance to expand their CNC programming and machining skills.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC equipment, including CNC laser cutting machines, according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Read, write, and edit CNC programs and make machine adjustments to maintain quality, accuracy, and production efficiency
• Machine, fabricate, and assemble parts according to bills of material, CAD drawings, blueprints, and product specifications
• Measure and inspect completed parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area while assisting with material handling and other production activities as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Must be able to set up, program, read, edit, and operate CNC laser cutting equipment
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, product specifications, and work instructions
• Experience using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and tape measures
• Working knowledge of basic math, measurements, and geometry used in machining
• Ability to accurately read, count, sort, check, and verify measurements and part information
• Strong attention to safety, quality, accuracy, and production efficiency
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical college training or equivalent experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience preferred with CNC vertical mills, CNC lathes, press brakes, waterjets, milling machines, and production saws
• Experience with HAAS CNC Vertical Mills, ACCURPRESS Press Brakes, dual-spindle CNC lathes, OMAX Waterjets, Bridgeport Milling Machines, and band, horizontal, or SOCO saws is preferred
• Salvagnini laser experience preferred
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted, with assistance for heavier items
• Ability to work Friday overtime as production needs require

The base pay range for this position is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
