Applications EngineerKonik is partnering with a global manufacturing client who is seeking an Applications Engineer to support customers and internal sales teams with laser-based manufacturing solutions. This role combines process development, customer training, and technical troubleshooting for advanced laser systems used in welding, cutting, drilling, additive manufacturing, and marking applications.The ideal candidate enjoys working hands-on with complex manufacturing technologies, collaborating with engineering teams, and supporting customers throughout the implementation and optimization of laser processes.Applications Engineer ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize laser material processes including welding, cutting, drilling, additive manufacturing, and marking applicationsConduct R&D activities to improve laser processing capabilities and advance existing laser system technologiesProgram and develop laser processes for complex 3D components using manual and CAD/CAM programming methodsSupport system demonstrations, testing, and acceptance activities for customer and internal applicationsProvide technical support and troubleshooting for customers via phone, remote tools, and on-site visitsTrain customers on the operation, programming, and application of laser systemsPerform process simulations and time studies for customer applications and new product developmentIdentify opportunities for new product features and improvements based on customer requirementsApplications Engineer QualificationsEngineering degree or equivalent technical experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or related fieldExperience with laser processing, CNC machining, or advanced manufacturing technologies preferredExperience with CAD/CAM programming or 3D component programmingStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts effectively with customers and internal teamsAbility to travel up to 30% domestically and internationallyU.S. citizenship requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with company match.Paid time off, holidays, and flexible scheduling options.Professional development and training opportunities.
