Salary: $120,640 - 120,640 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 3 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on threat hunting and security analytics.
• We need hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, and/or Copilot for Security.
• We are looking for a solid understanding of Windows, Linux, and cloud log sources, telemetry, and security events.
• We expect the ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and communicate findings clearly.
• We require experience with incident response, vulnerability analysis, and threat intelligence concepts.
• We value certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+, or Azure Security, although equivalent practical experience is also highly valued.
• We prefer experience in SOC environments or with SIEM/XDR technologies.
• We value familiarity with Zero Trust principles, identity security, and cloud security operations.
• We require 5 years of information security experience.
• We require English proficiency.
• We require the role to be performed on-site in Las Vegas, NV, and we can only consider candidates already local.

• We proactively hunt for threats across Defender XDR, Sentinel, and Microsoft Security for Copilot.
• We analyze security events, alerts, and anomalies to identify malicious activity, suspicious behavior, and policy violations.
• We develop and improve hunting queries, detection rules, analytics, and playbooks.
• We investigate endpoint, identity, email, and cloud signals to uncover compromise patterns and emerging threats.
• We perform in-depth incident analysis, document findings, and recommend mitigation actions.
• We partner with SOC staff, IT system owners, and leadership to coordinate response and remediation.
• We use SIEM, XDR, and AI-assisted security tools to improve detection quality and reduce false positives.
• We stay current on threat actors, tactics, techniques, procedures, and industry trends.
• We help enhance dashboards, analytics, and automation for real-time monitoring.
• We support internal security reporting, documentation, and compliance activities as needed.

We are hiring a Security Analyst for an on-site role in Las Vegas, NV, offered as a 1099 contract at $58 per hour. The assignment runs through at least June 2027, with a possibility of extension. In this role, we focus on safeguarding our information systems by proactively identifying, investigating, and responding to threats across our enterprise security stack. The position centers on threat hunting in Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Security for Copilot, using advanced telemetry, analytics, and automation to detect and mitigate cyber threats. We work closely with IT, security operations, and leadership to strengthen our security posture, improve detection capabilities, and support continuous improvement.
