WE ARE HIRING SEASONAL, PART TIME AND FULL TIME SWIM INSTRUCTORS
Pay Range: $25-29/hour

The Job : If you have a passion for the pool and enjoy kids, you’ll love being a swim instructor in our fantastic indoor and outdoor pools. As a Swim Instructor you will provide group swim instruction to students of varying ages and abilities while maintaining a safe and effective learning environment. Emphasizing fun and water safety is key. Ask us about our other Aquatics roles including Lifeguard.
The Core Duties:
- Provide swim instructions to various levels and age groups and help improve overall skillset and technique
- Perform all swimming strokes and skills taught in all levels
- Plan lessons, select appropriate drills and evaluate the student’s progress
- Present proper demonstrations and explain skills, analyze, evaluate and correct performance, minimize fear and use appropriate teaching devices
- Maintain a safe and positive teaching environment. Create an atmosphere where the student loves swimming and the water
The Essentials:
- Individual must have a dynamic personality. Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly & personable
- Strong swimming background preferred
- 1+ years of experience being an aquatic instructor preferred
- Excellent communication skills, customer service oriented commitment to fitness industry/environment
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certified preferred
- Lifeguard Training Certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required
- Experience working with children up to 12 years old
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have the ability to inspire and motivate others with great people skills
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, with good time management and great follow-up skills
- Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
