Base pay range $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Direct message the job poster from CFO's Domain Finance Executive Search & Consulting - Senior Recruiting Director at CFO's Domain INTERIM SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ABOUT OUR CLIENT: Our client, a leading entertainment studio, is currently seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support the Home Entertainment group. This role will play a key role in reading sales contracts/deal terms and tying that back to distributor statement to identify any discrepancies or missing information. This is a contract role projected to be at least three months in duration with the possibility to extend beyond that. The role is fully onsite. Home entertainment experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong entertainment industry experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of the month-end close process within a five-day close cycle. Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations and investigate variances. Review and interpret sales contracts, distribution agreements, and deal terms to ensure proper accounting treatment. Tie contractual deal terms to distributor sales statements, validating units sold, revenue, reserves, and adjustments. Identify and resolve discrepancies where deal documentation or distributor data is incomplete or inconsistent. Support reconciliation activities using reconciliation tools (e.g., Trintech or similar platforms). Partner with accounting, operations, and sales administration teams to resolve transactional issues and data gaps. Maintain accuracy and timeliness in a high-volume, deadline-driven close environment. Navigate and utilize multiple accounting and finance systems to support reporting and close execution. Provide reliable coverage and continuity during the interim backfill period. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred. Strong entertainment accounting background required; Home Entertainment experience a plus but not required. Demonstrated experience reviewing sales contracts and deal terms and tying them to distributor statements and financial results. Proven ability to apply sound judgment and critical thinking when information is incomplete or ambiguous. Strong systems literacy required, including SAP (strongly preferred). Experience with reconciliation and AP tools (e.g., Trintech or similar platforms). Experience operating within a fast-paced close environment, including a five-day close cadence. Ability to work fully onsite, five days per week, in Los Angeles. Comfortable stepping into an interim role with minimal ramp time.
