Reach Truck Operator

Mission Statement We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks and other heavy equipment to efficiently handle materials, manage inventory, and support warehouse distribution operations. Your expertise will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes, accurate order picking, and proper storage of goods. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in warehouse management, equipment operation, and materials handling, contributing to a safe and productive work environment. Duties Operate reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse Perform order picking using reach trucks and other equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation Maintain inventory organization by stacking and storing products safely at various heights Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance with OSHA standards Support warehouse management system data entry for inventory tracking and order processing Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage space and improve distribution efficiency Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to proper materials handling procedures Participate in warehouse safety training sessions and uphold OSHA regulations at all times Requirements Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures Familiarity with order picker operations and warehouse distribution processes Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately Prior experience in shipping & receiving or general warehouse experience preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for logistics, safety‑conscious operation skills, and a desire to contribute to a well‑organized warehouse environment.
