Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Texas Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required from AHA or ARC.
• Hospital experience required. Candidates without hospital experience will not be considered.
• Experience documenting in Meditech preferred.
• Experience with basic lift equipment and standard therapy equipment preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage typical inpatient caseloads (patient ratio approximately 5 patients).

Preferred Qualifications

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• CARE scoring experience preferred.
• Experience performing MBS for speech therapy patients is a plus.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00–17:00.
• At least 2 weekend days per month required.
• Floating expectation: may float within acute care hospital areas.
• EMR: Meditech.
• Unit size: approximately 15 beds with a staff of about 20.
• Typical patient ratio: approximately 5 patients per clinician.
