Gecko Hospitality is now searching for an experienced and motivated Payroll & HR Administrator in the Little Rock area ! The ideal Payroll & HR Administrator is a detail-oriented professional who ensures accurate payroll processing, maintains confidential employee records, and upholds compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments.
• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Maintain payroll records, tax filings, reconciliations, and required reporting, including Forms 941, W-2s, and W-3s.
• Oversee year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation, distribution, corrections, and employee requests.
• Manage payroll documentation and updates within Paychex, including garnishments, payroll action forms, and general ledger setup.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Handle unemployment claims, including documentation, responses, and coordination throughout the claims process.
• Maintain confidential employee records and assist with HR administration, including employment documentation, benefits coordination, and 401(k) payroll deductions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years current experience of combined payroll and HR administrative experience
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Accounting, or a related field preferred
• Payroll/HR experience in restaurants a plus
• Basic employment law and compliance understanding and how it impacts HR
• Knowledge of HRIS systems
• Strong knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite
• Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
