In this role, you will serve as a primary strategic advisor to the AI Foundations (AIF) leadership team, driving agile strategic planning, and serving as a key thought leader in defining the future of AI infrastructure at Google. As a key member of the AIF organization, the Senior Director, Chief of Staff serves as a vital partner in strategy, thought leadership, and high‑stakes execution for the AIF lead. In this capacity, you will lead the development and implementation of the organization’s overarching strategic vision. Your core focus will include evaluating primary strategic decisions, steering the long‑term business cadence, and ensuring that daily operations are perfectly aligned with our multi‑year goals. Combining strategic oversight with operational accuracy, this role involves navigating workstreams such as the rhythm of the business and functional collaboration with Core central Strategy and Operations (S&O), AIF product, and engineering teams as well as other pillars of Core. You will play a central part in scaling and maturing the organization, collaborating with Core executive leadership and cross‑functional teams to define, communicate, and implement organizational priorities. Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $310,000 – $432,000 (USD) plus 40% bonus target, equity and benefits. Responsibilities Develop a scaled strategic narrative across all components of the business, synthesizing communication decisions between management and the broader organization, and ensuring strategy and priority alignment. Establish and run a solid business cadence, driving regular business reviews with executive stakeholders and key partner teams enabling annual strategic planning, HC and budget management, conflict management, running programs to improve efficiencies, growth and scale. Drive the formation of our strategic vision and roadmap, and define and lead strategic and operational initiatives. Serve as proxy for the VP of AIF. Manage and lead critical operational initiatives across AIF, developing compelling recommendations to the AIF and Core leadership team. Act as an integrator, connecting work streams that would otherwise remain siloed and ensure alignment with cross‑functional partners.
