After School Teacher Head Start

Responsibilities Educate and care for children in an after‑school program. Develop a comprehensive curriculum and plan daily activities. Interact with parents and staff to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of children by providing close supervision during all activities. Promote exploration, creativity, and discovery to stimulate each child’s individual development. Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment. Work cooperatively with other teachers, preparing materials and maintaining a clean setting. Ensure compliance with all related regulatory guidelines, including Bank Street College, New York City Department of Health/Bureau of Day Care, and New York City Department of Education CACFP guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director. Qualifications High school diploma or general equivalency diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Experience working with preschool children in a child‑care setting and managing a classroom preferred. Willingness to collaborate as part of a team and develop skills in working with individual children, small groups, and the whole class. Strong interpersonal skills. Hours & Pay Hours: 3:00‑5:30 P.M., Monday‑Friday. Part‑time: up to 14 hours per week. Pay: $19.20 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr Bank Street College of Education
