General Dermatology OU Health-The University of Oklahoma The University of Oklahoma Medical Center is seeking a Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology. We are the flagship institution in Oklahoma that have students and residents. We are the only Dermatology resident training program in the state. OU Health is a referral center for complex and complicated issues. We are on the cutting edge of treatment in dermatology. Compensation & Benefits Salary: Competitive starting salary based on experience, plus production and quality incentives; sign-on bonuses available Professional Development: $5,500 CME allowance Retirement: 401(k) with 6% employer match + additional 3% employer contribution Coverage: Malpractice provided, including tail Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and disability coverage Relocation assistance available Academic Appointment Full-time faculty position with appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology, College of Medicine, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The individual filling this position may provide clinical services at Oklahoma City location, and/or VA Hospital. The exact allocation of time may vary depending upon staffing levels and the needs of the institution. Required Qualifications Doctoral degree (MD, DO) with certification in Dermatology by the American Dermatological Association or board eligible. The individual must be eligible for a permanent Oklahoma State Medical License. Areas of Responsibility The individual filling this position will be appointed as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology. This person will function primarily in a service capacity, but the position also entails teaching and research responsibility outlined as follows. Service This position requires clinical service for patient care. Responsibilities will include provision of outpatient clinic services and supervision of residents and medical students. Teaching The individual will participate in the teaching programs of the department including medical education, residency training and faculty development. Didactic presentations, small group discussions, problem-based learning and clinical scenarios will all be part of the teaching methodologies needed. Continuing education needs of the department and/or community-based physicians may also be included. Research The individual may participate in clinical or basic science research, but this is not required on the clinical educator track.
