Senior Benefits Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Benefits Specialist for our client in the Nashville, TN area. The Benefits Specialist will support benefits administration, compliance, vendor management, open enrollment, and employee communications while partnering with HR, Payroll, and vendors to ensure accurate administration and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs, enrollments, life events, and status changes.
  
  
• Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution.
  
  
• Manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers.
  
  
• Support benefits billing, reconciliations, payroll deductions, and vendor feed administration.
  
  
• Oversee leave administration processes, including FMLA and LOA coordination.
  
  
• Lead annual Open Enrollment activities, including employee communications, education, and support.
  
  
• Support 401(k) administration, audits, compliance, and reporting.
  
  
• Develop employee-facing benefits communications, newsletters, and educational materials to keep employees informed of programs, updates, and enrollment opportunities.
  
  
• Partner closely with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure accurate administration, compliance, and issue resolution.
  
  
• Support benefits compliance activities, audits, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  
  
• Lead and expand employee wellness initiatives by partnering with vendors and community resources, coordinating programs such as financial wellness education, health screenings, and wellness events, while developing creative strategies to increase employee participation and engagement.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4+ years of benefits administration or HR operations experience
  
  
• Experience with employee benefits programs, wellness initiatives, leave administration, and vendor management
  
  
• Strong HRIS experience (ADP, Workday, Dayforce, or similar)
  
  
• Knowledge of benefits compliance, including COBRA, FMLA, and 401(k) administration
  
  
• Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills
  
  
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
