Join a Growing Montana Service Company

Montana Food Equipment is growing, and we are looking to add multiple skilled Service Technicians to our Helena team .

Helena is home to our main office and serves as the hub of our statewide operation. As our customer base continues to grow, we are looking for experienced technicians who want to build a career with a company that values technical ability, continued training, customer service, and taking care of its people.

We provide repair, maintenance, installation, and technical support for commercial kitchens, restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, schools, healthcare facilities, and other foodservice operations throughout Montana.

What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, maintain, and install a wide variety of commercial food equipment, including:

• Commercial refrigeration and ice machines
• Walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers
• Ovens, ranges, fryers, steamers, and combi ovens
• Commercial dishwashers and warewashing equipment
• Mixers, slicers, scales, wrappers, and food-prep equipment
• Other commercial kitchen and foodservice equipment

This is a field-service position where you'll work independently while having the support of our service management, dispatch, parts, and technical teams at our Helena office.

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in experienced technicians from a variety of backgrounds, including:

• Commercial food equipment repair
• Commercial refrigeration
• HVAC/R
• Restaurant equipment service
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
• Commercial appliance repair

You don't need to know how to repair every piece of equipment we service. Strong troubleshooting ability, mechanical aptitude, professionalism, and a willingness to continue learning are more important to us.

EPA 608 certification is preferred for refrigeration technicians. CFESA certifications, factory training, and previous OEM experience are also a plus.

What We Offer

We believe good technicians are difficult to find—and worth investing in.

Montana Food Equipment offers:

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Full-time, year-round employment
• Company service vehicle
• Company phone
• Paid travel time
• Overtime opportunities
• Factory and industry training
• Opportunities to earn additional certifications
• Support from an experienced local parts and dispatch team
• Opportunities for advancement as our company continues to grow

We place a strong emphasis on technical training and continuing education. Our technicians have opportunities to attend manufacturer training, industry schools, refrigeration training, and certification programs to continue expanding their skills and earning potential.

Why Montana Food Equipment?

Montana Food Equipment is a locally owned, independent service company that has built its reputation by taking care of our customers and supporting our technicians.

We're growing quickly, but we don't want to become a company where technicians are simply numbers on a spreadsheet.

We want people who take pride in their work, enjoy solving problems, communicate well with customers, and want to be part of a team.

Our Helena technicians also have the advantage of working directly out of our main office, with immediate access to our parts department, dispatch team, service management, inventory, and other experienced technicians.

If you're an experienced technician looking for a long-term career with a growing Montana company—or you're currently in HVAC/R, electrical, appliance repair, or another mechanical trade and think your skills would transfer well—we'd like to talk with you.

Apply today through Indeed with your resume and a brief description of your service experience.
