This Level 1 trauma facility provides comprehensive inpatient cardiothoracic surgical services with established protocols for quality patient care delivery. The medical center utilizes the EPIC EMR system for documentation and care coordination. The hospital maintains modern surgical equipment and support systems, serving an adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.

Home of dozens of restaurants, bars, theaters, museums, and other attractions, Hartford, Connecticut is a great assignment location.

The physician associate will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage during Monday through Friday 8-hour day shifts, with potential call and 24-hour call responsibilities as required. The clinician will manage an average of 10 patients per day in an inpatient setting, operating autonomously without a supervising physician on site. Documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system for all patient encounters and surgical procedures. Board certification is required, and no new graduates will be considered for this assignment.
