Process Technician

Role Description The Process Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Ankeny, IA. This role is responsible for setting up, monitoring, and adjusting injection molding processes to ensure consistent product quality and optimal equipment performance. Day-to-day tasks include performing process startups and changeovers, troubleshooting equipment and mold issues, and conducting routine inspections to maintain production efficiency. The Process Technician collaborates with engineering and quality teams to document process parameters, implement improvements, and support root-cause analysis for production problems. Additional responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance tasks, training production staff on proper operating procedures, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment, mold, and process issues. Candidates should possess quality control skills to monitor product output, interpret inspection data, and ensure compliance with specifications. Candidates should possess process engineering-related skills to set, adjust, and optimize molding parameters and support continuous improvement efforts. Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills to perform routine checks, basic repairs, and upkeep of molding equipment and related tools. Candidates should possess training skills to guide and support production team members on process standards, safety, and best practices. Relevant additional qualifications include experience in injection molding or manufacturing, ability to read technical drawings, basic math and measurement skills, and familiarity with safety and quality standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical coursework or certificates in manufacturing, plastics, or a related field are preferred.
