Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – $100,000 - $120,000 per year, profit sharing & growth opportunity. About the Company A growing custom machinery manufacturer seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of automation equipment and specialized metalworking machinery. Competitive salary based on experience Profit sharing program 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and life insurance HSA program Paid time off Flexible scheduling options Stable day shift schedule Key Responsibilities Design custom automation systems and specialized metalworking machinery Develop machine layouts, assemblies, and detailed mechanical designs Modify and improve existing equipment designs Perform engineering calculations including loads, torque analysis, and design validation Support quoting, project management, and customer communication efforts Collaborate closely with manufacturing and assembly teams throughout machine builds Provide technical sales and application support when needed Qualifications Minimum 10 years of SolidWorks design experience Strong background in mechanical machine design Experience designing equipment within a manufacturing environment Knowledge of CNC lathes, mills, machining centers, or metalworking equipment is highly preferred Ability to develop creative engineering solutions and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems Strong understanding of mechanical calculations and design integrity principles Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
