Sign Language InterpreterSEDOL Overview Welcome to the Special Education District of Lake County. SEDOL is a cooperative educational system working with 31 local school districts to serve their students facing physical, emotional, and other learning challenges. Our mission is to provide "Exceptional Services for Exceptional Students by Exceptional Staff". Our Beliefs All persons shall be valued and treated with respect and dignity; All students can succeed; Students shall be educated in or as close to their home school as appropriate; Students shall be provided services based upon their individual needs; Quality educational services shall be made available to all students; and, Schools, families, and communities shall work cooperatively to provide and promote appropriate educational services for all students.Description: The Special Education District of Lake County has openings for Sign Language Interpreters for the 2026-2027 School Year. The main responsibility is to interpret for deaf and hard of hearing students who are mainstreamed into classes, assemblies and special events during the school day.Type of Employment: School Year 2026-2027Qualification: Educational Interpreter License from the State of Illinois State Board of EducationSalary: $26.21 - $32.91 an hour, based on experience.Benefits: paid sick and personal leave, paid single health insurance, and other locally competitive benefits.
