Medical Records Clerk

Full-Time Home Health Medical Records Clerk- Remote

Hours Need: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Help support patients and families by coordinating care services that allow individuals to recover, manage chronic illness, and maintain independence in the comfort of their own homes.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform all medical record organization, including assembling new charts, performing initial audit, maintenance of chart organization and filing, and performing periodic audits for completeness of medical records
• Perform word processing of physician orders, including initial certification signatures, recertification signatures, and other orders
• Fax lab reports and other reports to physicians or other agencies involved in clients’ care
• Assemble mailings
• Participate in special projects as directed
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
• Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department

Qualifications:

• Be eighteen (18) years of age
• Have one (1) year general office experience
• Possess knowledge of medical terminology and previous experience with general clerical duties or the equivalent education and/or training
• Demonstrate ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgments in regard to work functions
• Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to complete job responsibilities
• Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance; or ability to take public transportation
