Tax Senior Associate OpportunityReady for a Tax Senior role with more client ownership, not just more returns to prepare? This Tax Senior Associate opportunity in Bismarck offers hands-on work with complex returns alongside direct client contact, tax planning, research, and the chance to guide developing Associates. You'll work with Managers and Partners across a range of client situations while building the judgment and leadership skills that can take you beyond the Senior level.The role offers a $100,000 to $120,000 annual salary, bonus, comprehensive benefits, generous PTO, a flexible summer schedule, CPA and continuing education reimbursement, and training and mentorship. The listed hybrid arrangement is 2 to 3 days in office.What you'll be doing:Prepare complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and other entitiesWork across the entire tax engagement, from compliance and research through planning, consulting, and special projectsGet involved in tax planning before decisions are made—not simply report the outcome afterwardResearch complex tax issues, develop solutions, and turn technical conclusions into practical recommendations for clientsWork directly with clients throughout the year to answer questions, resolve issues, and understand what's happening within their businessesTake greater ownership of engagements, including workflow, deadlines, deliverables, and client expectationsWork alongside Managers and Partners on complex client situations and planning opportunitiesReview work and provide technical guidance to Associates and developing staffBegin building the leadership and delegation skills expected at the Manager levelDevelop experience across multiple entity types and client situations rather than being pushed into a narrow tax specialtyContinue building technical expertise while gaining the client-facing experience that becomes increasingly important as you progressWhat you'll bring:3+ years of public accounting tax experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldExperience preparing tax returns across individuals and multiple business entity typesStrong understanding of tax accounting principles and IRS regulationsExperience with—or a genuine interest in—tax planning, research, and consulting work beyond complianceAbility to research technical issues and communicate your conclusions clearlyConfidence interacting directly with clients and taking increasing ownership of those relationshipsAbility to manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining high-quality workExperience reviewing, mentoring, or training junior professionals is a plusCPA, EA, or progress toward professional certification preferredAuthorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorshipInterested in doing more than compliance?
