Manufacturing Automation Technician - PLC/HMI

About the Role Provide PLC programming and support for all PLC/HMI applications on the factory floor. Create, modify, troubleshoot PLC/HMI and other programmable devices for process improvements, failures, and new designs in coordination with internal and external engineering, production, and maintenance. Shift & Pay Shift: 1st | Pay: $25/hr. A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions. Responsibilities Create and modify PLC/HMI programs as required. Assist with tracking and providing backups on programmable devices used on the manufacturing floor. Troubleshoot PLC/HMI issues. Modify electrical components on machinery to improve performance. Program additional devices (proximity sensors, level probes, flow meters) as necessary. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production to deliver robust solutions that meet departmental needs. Read detailed electrical drawings and modify CAD drawings as required. Use measuring tools, hand and power tools, utility equipment, and AMP/Volt meters (AC/DC). Qualifications An associate’s degree or equivalent 2‑year degree in Industrial Mechatronics, Automation, or Electronics is strongly preferred. Prior experience performing electrical, pneumatic, and electronic troubleshooting and service of CNC machinery and/or automation equipment is strongly preferred. Prior experience with PLC and HMI programming/troubleshooting and associated software applications from vendors such as SEW‑EURODRIVE, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and others. Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints. Ability to use CAD applications such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Visio to view and modify electrical drawings as needed.
