The Opportunity As an English Teacher, you'll promote a love of literature and lifelong learning by guiding students through close reading practices that deepen their understanding of how texts work. You'll help students develop the ability to make inferences, analyze author’s craft, and engage critically with diverse voices and genres. Through thoughtful mentoring and coaching, you'll support students throughout the writing process—from brainstorming and drafting to revising and polishing their work. Your classroom will be a space where students share their writing with peers, offering and receiving constructive feedback that strengthens their voices and skills as communicators. You’ll embrace a broad view of composition that extends beyond traditional essays to include multimodal projects—podcasts, digital storytelling, visual essays, and other creative forms that reflect how we communicate in the modern world. Recognizing that technology shapes how we read, write, and think, you’ll thoughtfully integrate AI as a tool to support students’ growth as readers and writers. Whether using AI to brainstorm ideas, explore different writing styles, or analyze complex texts, you’ll help students understand both the possibilities and the responsibilities that come with these powerful tools, preparing them to be ethical, innovative communicators in an evolving world. What You Will Do As an English Teacher at Masters AcademyInternational, you will inspire a love of literature and lifelong learning by guiding students in close reading, critical analysis, and thoughtful engagement with diverse texts.
