Accounting Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, project accounting, and compliance-related activities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong accounting skills, Costpoint experience, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Use Deltek Costpoint to support accounting operations, reporting, project accounting, billing, and financial data integrity.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, management reporting, and variance analysis.
• Support accounting activities, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, contract billing, indirect rate support, and expense allocation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across various departments to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy.
• Assist with audit requests, compliance documentation, and internal control support.
• Provide ad hoc accounting, reporting, and analysis support as needed.

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA preferred.
• 3-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Costpoint experience required.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and extremely comfortable working with accounting systems and financial data.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly with finance and operational stakeholders.
