Clean Harbors in Breslau, ON location is currently looking for a Lead Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.
This position is responsible for maintaining / repairing heavy diesel equipment within the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
Conducts Safety Checks & Annual Vehicle Inspections in accordance with provincial & federal laws.
Perform thorough inspections (CVIP) of equipment and identify required repairs.
Perform all required maintenance and repairs to various types of equipment, tanker tailers and heavy-duty trucks;
Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
Perform maintenance which follows the manufacturer guidelines;
Complete repair orders.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.
Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
Complete warranty information.
Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
Carry out housekeeping duties.
Complete all required documentation and in an accurate and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Mechanic Certification (310T license)
5 + years' experience in maintaining of one or more of the following units: pickup trucks, tractors, and trailers;
Familiarity with the various types of diesel engines;
Ability to oversee, coach and mentor all apprentices and other shop laborers;
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be versed in all aspects e.g. electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, engines etc.
Ability or get or have DriveOn.
Valid full drivers license.
