Lead Line Cook

Job Title

Prepare and cook food items in accordance with standard recipes and menu specifications; ensure all dishes are of high quality, visually appealing, and cooked properly. Manage cooking times and the coordination of dishes to ensure timely service. See to each guest's special needs, including any noted allergies or dietary restrictions. Set up areas for service, ensuring that all necessary ingredients, equipment, and tools are available and in good working condition. Monitor and assist other line cooks and kitchen team members as needed. Provide training and guidance to junior culinary team members; teach proper cooking techniques, safety protocols, and best practices. Assist in monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; coordinate with culinary management to place orders as needed to maintain stock. Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the outlet's quality and presentation standards; inspect food regularly to ensure consistency. Collaborate with the Chef team in menu planning and the development of new dishes. Address any issues or challenges that arise during service promptly and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow food safety standards and protocols. Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management at all times via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the outlet are met. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet, as directed by the chef, and attend relevant meetings as directed.

You have a state-issued food handling certification. You have 2+ years of related experience in a lead culinary role preferred. You take pride in your craftyou know the kitchen is a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and that's why you love it.
