POSITION: CookDEPARTMENT: Food & BeverageREPORTS TO: Executive ChefFLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt- Part Time-HourlyLegends Global, the world's leading venue management and services company, has an and immediate opening for the position of a Prep Cook in Richmond, Virginia. Under direction of the Executive Chef, the Part Time Prep Cook's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with Legend Global policies.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Essential Responsibilities:* Ensure meals maintain a high level of quality and are prepared in a consistent and timely manner* Supervises storage areas to assist in ordering food and supplies* Monitors all leftover foods insuring proper labeling, storage usage* In consultation with the supervisor, coordinates production with meal servicing hours to ensure that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved.* Carves and apportions food for serving and assists in serving meals* Fills special diet orders following menu extension guides* Maintains sanitation standards of all food production areas and the cook's refrigerator* Clean food preparation area, including utensils used and equipment; wash dishes, take out trash, mop floors* Ensure all electrical and gas appliances are turned off before leaving kitchen area and at end of shift* Responsible for daily cleaning and weekly deep cleaning of the kitchen areasPHYSICAL DEMANDS* This position requires exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects.* Functional requirements including constant standing and walking* Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning and stretching.NOTE: The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above. Compensation: In accordance with Virginia law, the anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour
