Floating General Manager Location: Pittsburg, CA 2240 Loveridge Rd. Pay: $26.00 - $28.00. This role is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the region’s club operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience. The Floating General Manager will report directly to the Area Director and work closely with Area Leadership to build a positive team atmosphere and a financially successful club. Responsibilities Recruit, hire, train and develop a high-performing staff consisting of Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians. Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelines. Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered, maintaining exceptional customer service at all times. Lead through consistent training and coaching, adhere to PF’s values and goals, and maintain accountability for direct reports. Administer weekly/bi-weekly employee payroll and resolve employee concerns, manage progressive discipline and termination as needed. Assist with front desk activities: greet members and guests, answer phones, check members into the system, conduct tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates or events. Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, ensuring front desk area and lobby are orderly, and participate in regular cleaning and upkeep. Maintain employee, member, and property safety by reporting equipment or facility repairs to Facilities Maintenance. Manage marketing efforts by ensuring staff is trained on all promotions. Authorize expenditures and refunds, make daily bank deposits, and prepare HR related forms for Corporate HR and Payroll Team. Track statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, annually). Provide backup support for absent employees and perform additional duties as required by club needs. Qualifications & Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma/GED equivalent and a passion for fitness and health. One to three years of experience in a management role preferred. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and ability to learn systems quickly. Strong leadership, team building, and coaching skills. Direct experience managing customer-focused teams in a fitness or similar industry. Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills. Hard working, enthusiastic, energetic management style. Organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation. Physical Demands Continual standing, walking, talking and listening in person or on the phone.
