As we continue to expand our project portfolio, we are seeking an Estimator to support our preconstruction team. This role will focus on developing accurate cost estimates and supporting the bid process for commercial projects. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, comfortable reviewing plans and specifications, and interested in gaining hands‑on experience within an innovative construction environment. Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings and project specifications to understand scope for commercial building projects Read and interpret plans and blueprints to support bidding efforts and pricing adjustments such as change orders Perform detailed quantity takeoffs to accurately calculate materials, labor, and project requirements Develop a clear understanding of labor scope and installation requirements for each project Create and assist with shop drawings to support project installation and coordination Work closely with internal departments including pricing, project management, sales, and installation teams to ensure accurate estimates Research materials, products, and availability to confirm correct applications and pricing Review past project data and history to compare scope, costs, and improve estimate accuracy Maintain organized documentation related to project bids, estimates, and supporting information Qualifications 6 months to 2 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or a construction‑related role Bachelor's degree in construction management, Business, or a related field preferred Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and blueprints Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and material calculations Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general construction software tools is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams Eager to learn and grow within the commercial construction and estimating field #J-18808-Ljbffr Corporate Resources of Illinois
