Investment Analyst Or Associate

Preston Hollow Community Capital (PHCC) is seeking a highly motivated, entry-to-junior level analyst/associate to join its investment team based in Dallas, Texas. The investment team focuses on fixed income investments in high yield tax-exempt bonds and is involved in every aspect of the firm's investment process, including origination, evaluation, structuring, and execution. The analyst/associate will assist senior management and members of the investment team, including the following day-to-day responsibilities:

• Conducting financial analysis and modeling to assist the investment team in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of the firm's investments
• Preparing internal and external presentations and proposals
• Directly interfacing with developers, borrowers, and investment banks related to the firm's existing and future investments
• Writing of investment memorandum for presentation to the firm's investment committee
• Assisting with ad hoc analysis of the firm's existing portfolio

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
• Experience using Excel to construct financial models for transactions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to analyze and communicate complex financial transactions in an easily digestible format
• Comfort interacting and communicating with both internal and external senior management teams
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, the ability to produce effectively in a fast-paced environment, and resolute attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts, real estate, underwriting, and valuation
