Systems Operations Analyst

Systems Operations Analyst role. Please do not get caught up in the title; the manager is not restricted by compensation!! This position will be located in Malvern, PA ONLY! This position requires 5 days on-site; there is NO remote work allowed for this role, and the laptop cannot be taken home!!

MUST have Investment acumen! Tech stack includes AWS, Python and some Java. MUST have excellent communication skills. There will be 3 rounds of interviews; the last one will be with a Portfolio Manager!

• Role: Production Support / Systems Operations Analyst - title is flexible based on the candidate's background.
• Location: Malvern, PA; 100% onsite, five days per week.
• Primary focus: Production support rather than software development.
• Required background:
  • Strong technical background with investment-industry knowledge.
  • Experience supporting production applications and troubleshooting issues.
  • AWS and Python knowledge.
  • Some Java familiarity.
  • Ability to read and trace application/system logs, particularly in a trading environment.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with portfolio managers and other investment professionals.
• Investment knowledge is critical. The hiring manager emphasized that candidates need to understand investment terminology and concepts well enough to communicate intelligently with portfolio managers.
• Developer profile is not the target. The manager specifically does not want a pure developer or someone focused primarily on writing code. The ideal candidate understands the technology and can troubleshoot, analyze logs, trace issues, and support production.
• Experience level: Flexible. The manager is not constrained by the title or compensation level and is willing to determine the appropriate level based on the candidate.
• Interview process: Candidates will be evaluated on investment knowledge, technical knowledge, communication skills, and their ability to understand and respond to real-world scenarios.
