Account Representative (HVAC & Chillers)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Account Representative specializing in HVAC equipment, with strong knowledge of chillers, coolers and boilers. This role combines consultative sales and technical understanding to grow business, manage customer accounts, and support specification, quoting, and project execution. The ideal candidate will have HVAC sales experience, the ability to build relationships with engineers, contractors and facility managers, and the drive to meet revenue targets.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage a portfolio of accounts in the commercial and industrial HVAC market, focusing on chillers, coolers and boilers.Proactively generate new business through prospecting, cold outreach, networking and turning leads into opportunities.Provide consultative technical sales support: assess customer needs, recommend HVAC equipment and system configurations, and prepare specifications and value-based proposals.Prepare accurate quotes, coordinate with engineering and operations for pricing and feasibility, and follow through to order placement and project handover.Collaborate with sales engineers, project managers and third-party contractors to ensure project requirements, installation schedules and commissioning are met.Maintain accurate records in CRM, track sales activities, forecast revenue and meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.Deliver product training and demonstrations to customers and internal teams; stay current on product offerings, industry trends and energy efficiency standards.Negotiate contracts and terms with customers and vendors while protecting company margins and ensuring customer satisfaction.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and customer meetings to strengthen brand presence and close deals.Qualifications5+ years of proven B2B HVAC sales or account management experience, preferably selling chillers, coolers, boilers or related equipment.Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, chiller operation, refrigeration principles, boilers and controls; ability to interpret specifications and drawings.Demonstrated success as a Sales Representative, Sales Engineer or Account Manager with measurable revenue achievement and pipeline management.Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; comfortable interacting with engineers, contractors and C-level facility stakeholders.Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office; ability to prepare clear proposals and accurate quotes.Mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate technical concepts into customer value; experience with HVAC load calculations and energy-efficiency discussions a plus.Self-motivated, organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to customer sites, vendors and trade events as required.Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC technology, Business or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
