Registered Nurse Er (Adult)

Scheduling Details

Shift Hours: 7a-7p / 7p-7a

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed

Call Off Policy: The facility may cancel up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Charting

Experience Required: EPIC charting experience is required.

Special Scheduling Requests: Requests must be submitted upon application.

Licenses and Certifications

Active License: Must have an active New York Single State RN license (New York is not a Compact state).

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (please include valid NIHSS in submission).

Clinical Skills Required

IV therapy (including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and initiating/maintaining IVs).

Administering IV vasopressors.

Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management.

Management of CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI.

Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Emergency care experience (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma).

Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage protocols.

Unit Details

Patient Ratios: 1:5; including adults and geriatrics with various emergency diagnoses.

Special Equipment: Familiarity with Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment is preferred.

Floating: Will be required to float within skill set.
