Position: Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager Location: Natural Choice Foods - Marne, MI Job Id: 1184 # of Openings: 1 Job Overview Are you detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining high standards in food safety and quality? Join Natural Choice Foods as a Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager and help ensure that every product meets our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Develop and maintain food safety and quality programs (HACCP, GMP, SOPs, SSOPs, allergen control). Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF/BRC, and customer requirements through audits, inspections, testing, and documentation. Lead customer, regulatory, and certification audits; manage responses and corrective actions. Track and analyze quality data, non-conformance trends, and root causes; implement CAPAs. Supervise and train QA and sanitation staff to ensure consistent execution of procedures. Work with production, sanitation, and maintenance teams to identify risks and improve processes. Act as primary contact for customer complaints and quality/regulatory issues. Maintain documentation systems for traceability, labeling, specifications, and certifications. Stay updated on food safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Lead mock recalls, traceability exercises, and emergency/crisis preparedness activities. Manage supplier quality programs and oversee food defense and food fraud prevention. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related field 5+ years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing or repackaging At least 2+ years in a leadership role HACCP and food safety certification required (e.g., SQF Practitioner, PCQI) Experience with SQF, BRC, GFSI, or similar certification programs Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, and FSMA food safety regulations Preferred experience in USDA-regulated facilities with FSIS interaction Proven ability to lead audits and manage quality assurance programs Strong leadership, communication, and training skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to think strategically and understand complex operations and processes Capable of working independently with minimal supervision Skilled in troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; able to build effective working relationships Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities Self-directed with a positive, professional attitude Strong planning, organizing, and scheduling abilitiesHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences Benefits Weekly Pay Employee Discount Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage (30 days of employment) 40 hours of Flexible Time-Off (1 year of employment) 401(k) with company match (6 months of employment) Paid parental leave (1 year of employment) NCF is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, disability, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, sexual orientation, age, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
