Clinical Psychiatrist - Juvenile Justice (Per Diem)

Overview 180123 Job ID: 180123 Our team at the Bellevue Juvenile Justice Mental Health Services (BJJMHS) is looking to bring on Child Psychiatrists to moonlight with us, for weekend coverage at both our Brooklyn (Crossroads) and Bronx (Horizon) Detention sites. Board certified CAP psychiatrists and Fellows who have passed the adult psychiatry boards are eligible. Scheduling is flexible with the opportunity to work Saturdays and/or Sundays at either location. Responsibilities Provide weekend diagnostic assessments, including evaluation of the resident and collateral information from caregivers. Make recommendations and prescribe psychotropic medications with phone supervision. Conduct follow-up psychiatric services focused on medication management and crisis management as a consultant to building staff. Check-ins with high-risk youth and collaborate with social workers who are members of the BJJMHS team to navigate the system, the building, and the youth. Qualifications New York State License Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry MD or DO Compensation Hourly Rate: Juvenile Justice moonlighting rate is $225/hr.
