Assembler

This role focuses on assembling medical products such as diagnostic machines, blood analyzers, and heart monitors by following detailed digital work instructions and travelers. You will work with computers, hand tools, and torque wrenches to perform both mechanical and electronic assembly, while accurately completing in-process documentation in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices and related products by following digital work instructions, travelers, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform both mechanical and electronic assembly using hand tools, torque wrenches, and power tools as required.
• Use computers to access work instructions, complete data entry, and document production activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete all in-process documentation and medical documentation in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Verify component placement, fastener torque, and overall build quality to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Follow regulated work practices, including proper handling of medical components and adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership, responding to in-the-moment feedback provided during training and daily work.
• Participate in a structured training program, including working through a training binder and computer-based learning modules (LMS).
• Support production needs on busier lines by working the assigned second shift schedule and assisting with additional hours when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within a well-lit, regulated manufacturing facility.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing; medical manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical assembly experience, including working with small parts and components.
• Experience working with hand tools, with torque wrench experience considered a significant plus.
• Experience with medical documentation or other regulated documentation processes.
• At least 1 year of experience working with computers, including comfort with digital work instructions and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed work instructions and SOPs.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, travelers, and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness and availability to work second shift (Monday–Friday, 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) and support additional hours when needed.
• Ability to complete training and orientation starting at 7:00 a.m. for 1–4 days to complete LMS (computer-based) training.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools, processes, and documentation systems quickly.

• Prior experience in medical device assembly or medical manufacturing environments.

Work Environment

This position is based in a very clean, comfortable, and well-lit manufacturing facility that produces medical instruments in a regulated environment, though it is not a formal clean room. The atmosphere is relaxed yet professional, with a dress code of jeans and a collared shirt. The company maintains a laid-back culture where employees can enjoy amenities such as a game room area with activities like floor hockey and basketball, as well as renovated break rooms equipped with comfortable seating, shuffleboard, dart boards, foosball tables, coffee, snacks, and canteen vending. The role is on second shift, Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with the requirement to complete orientation and LMS (computer-based) training on a temporary 7:00 a.m. schedule for 1–4 days. A second shift is being expanded to support busier production lines, and while long-term continuation is likely based on contracts and workload, it is not guaranteed. Employees must be willing to support overtime and some weekend work when needed to meet production demands, with scheduling needs discussed during the interview process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr.
