Accounting Associate

Accounting AssociateTarantino Properties is looking to add an Accounting Associate to join the corporate office in Houston, TX. This position will analyze financial information, prepare and reconcile financial statements, prepare journal entries, prepare financial reports for management, and perform daily accounting and administrative requirements for multifamily properties.Responsibilities:Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes and must meet all accounting deadlinesProcess payments including all mortgages, utilities, and invoices by appropriate due datesProcess checks, wires and ACHPrepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports for clients and lender reporting as well as internal usePrepare and submit quarterly lender reporting and routine lender reserve/capital reserve draws related to property construction projects by appropriate deadlines.Monthly reconciliation of all property operation accountsMaintain accurate journal entries with basic understanding of accounting principlesAssist with the processing and distributions of year end 1099sGeneral Ledger maintenance and reconciliationsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree Required (Business - Finance, Accounting, Economics)2+ years of experience with Real Estate Accounting preferred but not requiredExperienced in accounting processes and understand accounting principlesWhy People Love Working Here:People are at the heart of what we do every day.
