Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical / Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:6. Approximately half of scheduled shifts will include weekends. 19-bed unit with a maximum census of 20 patients.

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit serving young adults through geriatric patient populations
• 18 private rooms and one semi-private room with telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Broad range of patient care needs including CVA, renal failure, pre/post neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the unit
• 13-week assignment with orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Proficiency with central lines, PICC lines, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Cannot reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
