Senior Data Engineer

Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing financial technology company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data & Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to build and scale modern data infrastructure that powers business intelligence, analytics, and strategic decision-making across the organization. In this role, you'll work with a modern data stack to develop scalable data pipelines, transform raw data into actionable insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based data pipelines to ingest data from APIs, event streams, and databases. Build and optimize data models using dbt and Snowflake to support reporting and analytics. Partner with business, product, and operations teams to understand reporting needs and develop meaningful data models and metrics. Monitor data quality, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and implement validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Create and maintain documentation for data models, pipelines, and reporting assets. Contribute to the continued evolution of the organization's modern cloud data platform. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong Python development skills with experience building data pipelines. Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and modern ELT/data transformation tools such as dbt . Exposure to event-driven architectures or streaming technologies (Kafka is a plus). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern engineering best practices. Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
