Grounds Keeper

Grounds KeeperExpress is currently seeking a Grounds Keeper. Performing routine manual labor involved in grounds maintenance, package delivery, setup and take down of event rooms, and routine and special cleaning services throughout the community in an effort to promote a progressive customer service culture. How you'll do it:Demonstrate our clients Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—are ingrained into all aspects of your role.Actively participate in the department's standard training program to become increasingly skilled in your area of focus.Embrace the notion that you are employed with the purpose of offering your residents an inviting experience that is happening for them, not a service that is happening to them.Approach all encounters with residents, guests, and co-workers in a gracious, attentive, and courteous manner.Assist with trash, recycle, and compost removal throughout the community.Clean and organize respective areas as assigned.Hand water interior plants, flowerbeds, and other areas as assigned.Operate light motorized equipment in a safe and professional manner, and in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines.Perform a variety of manual labor related duties to include but not limited to pressure washing, graffiti removal, leaf and debris blowing, cleaning water fountains, and pools and drainage projects.Perform deep cleanings of the loading dock, parking garage, and common use areas.Repair and maintain department supplies and tools.Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act in a calm manner in the event of an emergency.Perform other duties as assigned.Core Competencies:Action orientedBeing resilientCustomer focusResourcefulnessAbout you:Minimum of 1 year's experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related field.State Chemical Applicator license or pursuit of the license once beginning employment.Knowledge of chemicals and their proper use.Skills in operation and maintenance of landscape equipment.Additional attributes to be a top performer:Prioritize quality over simply getting things done and ensure customers and peers feel confident in your product/service.Initiate projects and assignments that challenge your skills and knowledge, while still contributing to company goals.How we'll help you succeed:The Grounds leadership will work with you to develop a career path plan with goals and performance expectations in mind. Wage range is $18-20.46 DOE.
