Position Description As an Applebee’s® Assistant Manager, you will be engaged in all aspects of the day‑to‑day operations at the restaurant. You will lead a team, solve problems, handle stress, and inspire guests and staff to enjoy every experience at Applebee’s®. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver timely, friendly service according to company guidelines and achieve established objectives. Cultivate a culture consistent with the Flynn Applebee’s Premier Card and core values. Respond immediately to all verbal guest complaints and correct them. Prioritize guest contact by completing required table visits as established by Flynn Applebee’s standards. Maintain departmental inventory levels. Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards through line checks. Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands. Maintain safety and security programs. Promote and lead restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation. Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director. Recruit and refer potential team members and management candidates. Promote Flynn Applebee’s training procedures for new managers. Support staff training through orientation, individual sessions, employee meetings, and training systems. Participate in ongoing employee development using One‑on‑One sessions, performance documentation, and written evaluations. Assess employee efficiency, provide fair feedback, and work continuously on developmental areas. Document situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action. Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures. Control costs in the assigned department. Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines. Drive bi‑weekly and weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM’s request and be accountable for completion. Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork. Meet or exceed sanitation standards required by the Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards. Serve as a role model for managers and employees. Develop proficiency with all store‑related technology. Be willing and able to work in all positions, assisting in team member roles as needed, including cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending, etc. Use the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies. Education and Experience At least 2–3 years of restaurant management experience. Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus. Compensation Applebee’s® Assistant Managers earn $18.36 to $25.50 per hour, approximately $52,509 to $72,930 annually based on a 50‑hour work week. Potential monthly bonus, where applicable by location. Competitive wages, profit sharing/bonus, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. Physical Standards Work various shifts, including weekends. Stand and move briskly for up to ten (10) hours. Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.
