CNC Lathe Operator - 2nd Shift

In this role, you set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision aerospace components. You measure finished parts, maintain machine condition, and report any discrepancies to ensure every part meets required specifications. You contribute to quality, safety, and efficient production through disciplined operations and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs light machine maintenance, including cleaning the exterior and interior of machines and adding oils and fluids as needed.
• Measures dimensions of finished workpieces using precision instruments, templates, and fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Reports machining defects or dimensional nonconformance to department leadership immediately.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment to support safe and efficient operations.
• Supports CNC machine operation as part of daily production activities.
• Performs additional duties as required to meet production needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CNC operator or technician.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Ability to interpret precision measurements, templates, and fixtures.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking, and sitting for at least 8 hours.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, with a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other equipment.
• Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less; corrective lenses may be worn.
• Prolonged repetitive movement.
• Constant holding, grasping, and turning motions with the hands.
• Occasional reaching overhead, at shoulder level, and below shoulder level.
