SUMMARY

Under the CNC Department, the Runner will be required to operate our CNC machines to produce quality parts and meet schedules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates the assign CNC machine
• Follows the Set Up Sheets and Tooling Information.
• Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
• Maintains the CNC area following the 6S Principles.
• Deburrs after CNC operation, if necessary
• Uses micrometer, countersink gauge, ball gauge, punches hammers, sockets and pliers to make necessary adjustments and repairs.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce fabrication time, rework, or defects.

1. Used hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator, etc.) to complete in-process checks
2. Interact with CNC Setter for communicating fabrication and inspection results

• Works closely and communicates with appropriate teams and/ or related staff to resolve any issues related to production and promptly reports to direct supervisor for any issues/ potential risks;
• Good Work Ethic and ability to consistently meet deadlines;
• Promptly and accurately completes all required record keeping per company processes and policies
• Observe and follow Company’s Policies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Certificate of completion or associates degress in manufacturing technology or fabrication.

-Minimum 2 years experience CNC Operator

-DMG Mori CELOS Controls experience (MAPPS/Fanuc & Siemens Control)

-Experience with 3/4/5-axis milling, mill/turn machines.

COMPUTER/SOFTWARE

Above average knowledge of computers, experience using Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with ERP systems, ProShop a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to work and convert from both, (USC) inches and (Metric) Millimeter, seamlessly.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Will use hands for extended periods of time while grinding and cutting.

Talking, hearing, vision, depth perception, color vision, field of vision. Work with safe manufacturing processes and understands PPE that is required in the manufacturing area.
