CNC Lathe Machine Operator

Location: Batavia, IL
Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay: 23.00 per hour

Job Overview:
Operate CNC Lathe machines and a computer console to complete assigned work. Complex machine setups are handled by others. You will check parts using measurement tools and make simple machine adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines including mills and lathes
• Read and follow blueprints and drawings
• Set feeds and speeds and follow setup instructions
• Perform basic machine adjustments
• Inspect parts during production to ensure quality
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records
• Work with different departments to complete jobs
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Assist in other areas as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read measurements and use tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to read prints and work instructions
• Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic computer skills
