Make a difference in students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary learners for the academic year beginning August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027. This full-time contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility to consider part-time availability around 30 hours weekly. The primary assignment is at a single elementary site with potential to assist at a nearby campus.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language interventions to elementary-aged children under an SLP's supervision
• Support IEP goals and collect daily data to track student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
• Adapt communication methods for diverse student needs within a positive learning environment
• Monitor and update caseloads averaging 80–90 students, possibly peaking at 90–100
• Assist with screenings, therapy materials, and progress reports as directed

Qualifications:

• Current professional SLPA license and eligibility to practice in Texas
• Experience in a school setting or strong interest in working in education
• Completion of state fingerprinting and background checks
• Experience with elementary-age students is preferred
• Ability to float between two schools if needed
• Willingness to provide work history truthfully, including any prior employment or termination with a school district (affidavit required)
• Previous employment with the local school district is considered—please specify if applicable
